Mr. Rajiv Gupta, CEO of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), CEO of NTPC Renewables Energy Limited (NREL),a wholly owned subsidiary and Director of GVREL, a JV of NREL and DVC. He earned a BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and later pursued an MBA in Finance from Delhi University. His dual expertise in engineering and finance makes him an asset in strategic decision-making.
He started his career as an Executive Engineer Trainee in NTPC and worked at projects as well as in the Corporate Office's. He has rich experience of over 35 years in the power sector. Before taking over as CEO, he headed the Corporate Contracts division. He has expertise in strategic planning, policy formulation, and the implementation of systems to streamline the procurement process for large-scale power generation units, which played a crucial role in ensuring efficiency, transparency, and compliance with government regulations throughout the procurement phases.
He is taking various initiatives to reduce the carbon intensity, and coupled with ventures into e-mobility, green hydrogen, and waste management, reflects a comprehensive approach to environmental responsibility and forward-thinking energy practices. He is spearheading NTPC's Energy Transition program, which is aligned with global trends to mitigate climate change and transition towards more sustainable and cleaner energy sources.
Mr. Ashish Aggarwal is a Commerce graduate and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, bringing over 22 years of rich and diverse experience in Finance, Accounts, Regulatory Affairs, Investor Relations, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Mergers & Acquisitions.
He has built a strong reputation in the power sector, where his deep industry knowledge and proven ability to manage complex financial transactions have played a key role in driving strategic growth. Mr. Aggarwal’s expertise and leadership make him an integral part of the company's strategic decision-making process.
Mr. Pushpendra Tyagi, an accomplished finance professional and MBA in Finance, brings over 34 years of rich experience in financial management and audit to NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL). Throughout his distinguished career at NTPC, he has demonstrated expertise across diverse functions in Gas, Thermal, and Hydro projects, as well as at NTPC's Corporate Centre.
Mr. Tyagi has played a pivotal role in areas such as budgeting, fundraising, finalization of accounts, and financial vetting of key projects and initiatives. His extensive experience includes serving as the Head of Internal Audit at NTPC, where he ensured compliance and strengthened internal controls across the organization.
With his vast knowledge and hands-on experience, Mr. Tyagi continues to contribute to NTPC REL’s vision of financial excellence and its mission to lead India’s renewable energy transition.
Ms. Rashmi Aggarwal, a qualified Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) and Company Secretary (CS), brings a wealth of experience spanning over 24 years in the fields of finance and corporate governance. Her diverse expertise encompasses taxation, treasury management, international finance, financial concurrence, superannuation trust management, and company secretarial responsibilities.
Throughout her career, Ms. Aggarwal has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in managing complex financial operations and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks. Her expertise in treasury and international finance has been instrumental in optimizing financial strategies and managing risk effectively.
As the Company Secretary of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), Ms. Aggarwal plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s financial and governance excellence, contributing significantly to its mission of advancing renewable energy development in India.
