Green hydrogen is at the forefront of the global energy transition, offering a sustainable, zero-emission fuel alternative. Produced through electrolysis using renewable energy sources like solar and wind, green hydrogen is a key enabler in decarbonizing industries, transportation, and power generation.
Our initiatives include:
- Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka: The NGEL Green Hydrogen Hub, located over 1200 acres near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, is being developed as a comprehensive, one-stop solution for green chemicals and sustainable manufacturing. Once fully operational, the hub will harness 7 GW of renewable energy and export over 2.5 million tons of green chemicals annually, marking a significant step in India’s commitment to a sustainable, green future.
- Hydrogen Blending with Natural Gas: Aimed at reducing carbon intensity in energy distribution while optimizing natural gas networks.
- Green Methanol Production: Delivering eco-friendly alternatives for industrial applications and transportation fuel.
- Hydrogen-Based Energy Storage: Enabling efficient energy storage solutions to support renewable energy integration and grid stability.
- Hydrogen Mobility Projects: Promoting hydrogen-powered transportation to accelerate India’s shift to clean mobility.
- Green Ammonia Projects: Providing sustainable solutions for fertilizers and industrial applications to minimize carbon emissions.
Aligned with India’s net-zero ambitions, we are committed to developing large-scale green hydrogen projects to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. By fostering partnerships, leveraging advanced technologies, and integrating renewable resources, we aim to position India as a global leader in green hydrogen, ensuring a cleaner and energy-secure future for generations to come.
